My snowblower's roller chain is stretch badly.

I didn't know that a snowblower's roller chain can stretch over time, mine is so loose that it slaps really badly. I guess I'm clueless to the point that I never even think about checking it. This one is actually a replacement chain, has been used for 15 years.

Anyone got the same experience?

15 years on a replacement chain and you're surprised it's stretched that much sounds like it lasted longer than it should have honestly roller chains wear out over time especially with winter use and constant tension if it's that loose now replacing it is probably your only option tightening it is just delaying the inevitable
