has anyone here tinkered with modifying the chute size on a case snowblower? mine just refuses to throw light snow when it's like 2 inches or less. not sure if tweaking the chute would help or if it's just how these things are. any ideas?

It's just not enough volume to push through the way you're imagining it out to be, so best try running it at a lower height maybe? I think the problem lies in the auger honestly because it can't grab the snow? I don't think the chute is the issue here. So maybe you can add like impeller blades or something,

Completely agree with @JohnCena on this. As per aftermarket one, do get from Bercomac or Radtech. Can get chute parts for this just for increased performance or something.

Have you thought of adding a rubber impeller kit? It's a big difference in light stuff! Let me help you if you're considering that.
